These are a selection of pictures I have put together in a mood board. They comprise of three different bands/singers.
This one below is of Asking Alexandria who are a British metal band. I have chosen these images as I believe they portray the idea of a metal genre fairly accurately. They would look right on the cover of my metal genre magazine.
The band in the below mood board are Blink 182. They are a rock/Metal band. I think that the fit the image of the type of magazine I want to create. They would look right on the front cover as oppose to an opera artist such as Katherine Jenkins who would look out of place in a metal magazine.
The mood board below is of Oli Sykes, the lead vocalist in a metal band called Bring Me the Horizon. I have chosen him as he fits the stereotypical image of a metal band member. He has long, dark hair and loads of tattoos. This fits the genre accurately. Oli has his own successful clothing brand called Drop Dead. He has an official shop in London and it has its own website and catalogue. His brother is the model for most of the male section.
Very detailed mood boeards but focus on an individual singer or a band and need to have more of a range of stylistic elements from magazines, such as colours, other images and more variety of artists.
